(03) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc  summary/title:– Postdoc in modern history with a specialization in culture and preparedness

You will be part of an environment with several recently initiated research projects on themes related to cultural perspectives on preparedness, war, and security, as well as media and everyday perceptions of threats and security. The environment includes modern history research that is part of a large multidisciplinary research program on apocalyptic imaginaries, funded by Riksbankens Jubileumsfond. In addition, there is a project on warning sounds and citizen information which uses historical, media studies, and ethnographic approaches, funded by Vetenskapsrådet. We would like to see that the research you conduct is in an exciting way related to or expands on one of these themes and that you strengthen and enrich the environment and existing research with your own line of research. You will work in a team with Professor Marie Cronqvist and her research group. Describe your intended research in a research plan that you attach to the application. The research plan shall include purpose and research questions, a literature review, and a description of theory, method, and sources. It should not exceed five pages including references.

As postdoc, you will principally carry out research. A certain amount of teaching may be part of your duties, up to a maximum of 20% of working hours. The position requires regular physical presence at the workplace and active participation in joint seminars and other research-related activities. Some research administration, such as the organization of conferences, symposia, or workshops may also be included.

(05) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc  summary/title:– Postdoc in organic bioelectronics

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled postdoctoral researcher to join our team focused on the development of implantable drug delivery systems for the next generation of cancer therapies. The bioSWITCH implant concept is based on a combination of “iontronic” electrophoretic drug delivery and click-to-release chemistry for targeted, programmable, and precise dosage of potent chemotherapeutics. This postdoc position is focused specifically on the fabrication, characterization, optimization, and implementation of iontronic drug delivery devices – in a variety of geometries and experimental setups, including biological experiments with our bioSWITCH collaborators in Austria (Graz and Vienna). These tasks will include experimental design and automation, as well as integration with our custom hardware and software.

The successful candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, be able to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary and international team and have excellent communication abilities. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the interface between chemistry, biology, and electronics in the highly collaborative and supportive Laboratory of Organic Electronics (www.liu.se/loe)

We are looking for a team player with exceptional motivation and drive, solution-oriented thinking, and strong problem-solving skills. If you meet these qualifications and are eager to contribute to innovative and translational research, we encourage you to apply.

Deadline : August 14, 2024.

(06) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc  summary/title:– Postdoc in Materials Science

The work includes experimental research in electrochemistry, especially studies of electrocatalytic oxygen reactions and CO2 conversion. These reactions are crucial for the technology development for a sustainable society, e.g. fuel cells, electrolyzers, and carbon dioxide utilization. The catalysts we develop are either multicomponent thin films or mesoporous transition metal oxides, both made from abundant, cheap, non-toxic elements. Your research tasks cover, for example, designing and using experimental cells for in situ studies of catalytic reactions by FTIR, Raman spectroscopy, x-ray spectroscopy and electrocatalytic evaluation. Synthesis of catalysts and their materials characterization may be included depending on your background. Within the project, you will collaborate closely with doctoral and master’s students.

Deadline : 19 August 2024.
