The Division of Neuropharmacology and Neurological Disease within the Emory National Primate Research Center at Emory University is currently seeking a Postdoc to join the Neuromodulation for Epilepsy team. The Medina Lab in the Department of Psychology at Emory University is seeking a postdoctoral researcher. Our lab examines how we combine information from the senses to perceive our bodies, and how perceptual processes and their underlying neural representations are altered subsequent to brain damage. Our research uses a variety of techniques including cognitive neuropsychological studies, functional neuroimaging, transcranial magnetic stimulation, and psychophysical/behavioral methods. Our lab has access to multiple 3T and one 7T scanner, transcranial magnetic stimulation, and brain-damaged individuals active in research.


The postdoctoral researcher will take a lead role in designing and implementing studies using some of the above techniques. Topics include sensorimotor plasticity, multisensory integration, perceptual illusions, embodiment, touch and proprioception. The initial appointment is for one year, renewal expected if progress is satisfactory and funds are available.
