Postdoc  summary/title:– Postdoctoral Research Fellow / Research Officer in Electrochemical Process Design and Technology Adoption

This is an exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Fellow / Research Officer who will conduct work for the ARC Centre of Excellence in Green Electrochemical Transformation of CO2 in the design of electrochemical systems for producing a range of chemicals and fuels. You will also assist with the creation of a Roadmap for CO2 utilisation and other industrial ecology and life cycle analysis studies within Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for Green Electrochemical Transformation of Carbon Dioxide (GETCO2).

(02) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc  summary/title:– FABA Postdoctoral Research Fellow/Research Officer – Precision fermentation

In this role, you will seek to evaluate the technical feasibility of integrating precision fermentation into current diary infrastructure. This research is in collaboration with Fonterra, one of Australia’s largest dairy manufacturers, and its Research and Development Centre (FRDC) in Palmerston North, New Zealand.

 

This project will investigate the technical and economic feasibility of using underutilised assets from the seasonal dairy industry, such as in Australia and New Zealand, for post-fermentation processing of precision fermentation products, potentially providing a cost-effective scale pathway for the technology and bridging the scale gap. This will include evaluating the utilisation and recycling of side streams from both fermentation and dairy processing. This role would suit researchers with experience in (precision) fermentation, bioprocess engineering, techno-economic and life cycle analysis.

(03) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc  summary/title:– Postdoctoral Research Fellow – Ligand-gated Ion Channel Electrophysiology

This is an exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to engage in research to further their expertise and growing research profile to achieve national recognition in the field of ligand-gated ion channel pharmacology. Our laboratory explores peptides that modulate the activity of ion channels involved in human disease. This project focuses on characterising the interaction of peptide modulators with acid-sensing ion channel 1a (ASIC1a), with a view to therapeutic development of these peptides. The candidate for this position will be involved in all aspects of the project and is expected to efficiently manage service and engagement roles and activities.

This project, Groups and Relationships to Optimise Wellbeing and HealTH, is a public health solution for the prevention and management of loneliness. GROWTH targets the prevention and management of loneliness, which is among our most pressing public health issues.

 

The GROWTH program will pioneer a new integrated, sustainable community-focused approach that leverages UQ’s intervention program, GROUPS 4 HEALTH, in ways that help people to optimise their access and use of existing community resources. Working with academic and community partners who work with young people and older adults, GROWTH aims to empower people to manage loneliness when it presents, but also to prevent its occurrence which is needed to reduce the health burden and cost of loneliness at scale.

Postdoc  summary/title:– Postdoctoral Research Fellow – Neurodesk Community Project

This is an exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow/Research Officer to engage in research and work closely with our team to support the development and deployment of scientific applications via the https://www.neurodesk.org platform. This position will be responsible for documenting Neurodesk use cases and developing new use cases with the community.
